GMI worked together with the staff of Solomon Carter Fuller and the State of Massachusetts Department of Mental Health to develop the program for the renovated facility.

GMI Architects completed a feasibility study, program development and full design services for a 60 bed psychiatric facility in downtown Boston.  The 28,000 SF facility will house 60 patients on three floors. The complex renovation involved engaging the staff of the facility, the State of Massachusetts, and the Department of Mental Health to develop an effective program and design for both forensic and general psychiatric patients in a state operated facility.
