GMI Architects has been providing professional design services to behavioral healthcare organizations since our establishment in 1980 as Graham/Meus Inc. Architects. Under the leadership of Gary Graham, FAIA, the firm has had primary responsibility for the design of over 50 behavioral healthcare projects encompassing over 5,000 inpatient beds throughout North America. This experience has included programming, master-planning, and the design of a dozen major State Hospital projects in four States, as well as proprietary and not for profit hospitals throughout the country. The firm has pioneered innovative inpatient settings for children, adults, forensic, and geriatric populations.
