Tewksbury Hospital engaged GMI to design a new 500 sf compounding suite within the existing State Offices for Pharmacy Services (SOPS) pharmacy located on the campus. We developed the strategy and design criteria together with our associated architect and specialty consultant Jacobs. The entire suite is constructed of prefabricated clean room partitions, pre-constructed in a factory setting then assembled on site to ensure compliance with the strictest standards of Quality Assurance. The mechanical systems were upgraded to include a dedicated rooftop unit and HEPA filters throughout the system.  The suite includes a dynamic pass through cabinet and laminar flow hood which, both highly specialized pieces of equipment.
