GMI Architects designed a master plan to update this former Adventist Health Systems, 82-bed psychiatric facility serving developmentally disabled substance addicted patients. The plan conceived the addition of two new buildings totaling 42,000 sf: one for patient care with a new front entrance; the other to provide a new kitchen, dining room, gym, and space for support services. The new additions, modeled after the existing architecture, connect the older buildings and form an internal courtyard that is serene, safe, and secure.
