Eddy's Edge

project description

Eddy’s edge, situated to the rear of the Sarah J Eddy House, is a newly designed two-family contemporary home located on the northern tip of Aquidneck Island. Each unit has been designed to be unique in personality to what is typically found in the area.  Dark exterior colors help the building set into the landscape, while playful interior colors, large windows, and bold wallpaper evoke a sense of warmth and interest to the home environment.

Although connected by a common carport roof, each home is designed to feel private with views directed out towards the neighboring properties. Each garage is equipped with an EV charger and the simplified roof lines provide the opportunity for future solar photovoltaic panels.

The sitework includes a rain garden to responsibly manage the stormwater along with lush plantings to provide privacy to the outdoor gathering spaces.
